Accessibility Options in Windows 95Windows 95 has several accessibility features built into the Control Panel. These features affect the whole operating system. Once you turn them on, they work no matter what program is running. The features are split into four general areas:

Set the screen display to a higher than normal contrast. Choose black on white, white on black, or custom display. When using a custom format, you can choose display colors and text sizes by selecting from a number of saved formats.

Set the minimum time needed to hold a key press before it is registered. Change the minimum amount of time needed between identical key presses. Remove keyboard repeat. Change the amount of time needed to hold a key press before the letter begins repeating, and the rate of repetition when the key is held down.

Set the keyboard so that you can press multiple keys (such as Alt, Ctrl, or Shift plus a letter) one key at a time instead of all at once.

Windows generates visual warnings when your computer makes a sound. Works only if you are using your computer's built in speaker.
Programs display captions for any speech or sounds they make.
